Our own Mokgadi Mabela is probably one of the most interesting “powerful dreamers” that you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. She is the passion behind our honey and produces and sources from a world of knowledge!! To refer to honey as organic is almost an impossible quest as one can never be 100% sure where one’s bees will gather their pollen from, but when it comes to our locations, Mokgadi takes every step imaginable to maintain the hives in organic farmed fields and environments in order to uphold our promise. All our honey is bottled in biodegradable packaging, with no added preservatives or any filtered processes. Our honey has a beautiful rich, creamy taste to it with an amber colour in appearance. What makes it special is that most people taken many years to not only develop a pallet for honey but the strong smell that it generally develops, our Native Nosi honey has a very subtle mild fragrance which permeates indulgence! This makes it the perfect “brand” to introduce to “first time users” …

To say we are non irradiated should be an automatic assumption but we would like to take up an extra few lines and re-iterate this a lil more!!

We are pure South-African goodness…

Our imported range of honey is accumulated in batches from our neighbouring Zambia and Tanzania but not limited to these countries. We have a handful of farmers across the board who harvest for the sole purpose to expand the Auganic brand. We are essentially their retail arm and their means to share their life’s work with a global platform. We provide infrastructure where needed in order to offer them expansion at the condition that all our standards are adhered to,  hence bringing you a distinctive promise of RAW, UNFILTERED, NON-IRRADIATED beautifully diverse honey varieties. Strong in fragrance and in colour, our “golden-yellow” range of honey is for the more mature pallets but depending on which season you happen to purchase, you might be lucky and be offered a choice of selection (based on the area in which the bee’s foraged within the time frame of production).

Something interesting: Some varieties of honey possess large amounts of friendly bacteria. This includes up to 6 species of lactobacilli and 4 species of bifidobacteria, which means it’s a powerful probiotic. This may explain many of the “mysterious therapeutic properties of honey.” It also regulates blood sugar, heals wounds and burns, is anti fungal and anti-bacterial.

Our coconut oil is of premium grade certified organic quality. Grown in the Inhambane province of Mozambique the oil is extracted from virgin coconuts and pressed manually. No heat is involved in the extraction process from which we obtain our pure coconut oil, resulting in the beautiful cold pressed liquid which we have carefully selected as part of our organic lifestyle range. ORGANIC, COLD PRESSED, VIRGIN coconut oil is a substance which penetrates more epidermis layers than any natural oil, this offers an amazing moisturizer for both face and body (as well as hair due to the fact that the oil limits protein loss in the follicle).

It is widely known as the “fat that burns fat” so as an addition to any weight loss regime, this oil also offers an array of nutrients both as a health supplement and within cooking (as a frying/ flavouring/ seasoning oil). Coconut oil has a very high heating point which means while you cook with it, you still benefit from all its nutritional value as the heat doesn’t jeopardise its molecules!

Our Macadamia nut oil comes from the heart of Limpopo in the Soutpans Mountains where a 6 generation farming family has developed their business since 1905. Our Macadamia nut oil is the only addition in our range that is 100% natural but not organic. Even though EVERY step is taken by the farmers to grow the crop as organically as possibly, a level of pesticide is still used in order to deter a current insect problem which they have been battling with since 2000. However, NO chemicals are used to grow the nuts and our facilities are as organic as we are able to maintain it.

Our oil has NO PRESERVATIVES, its COLDPRESSED and completely RAW. This golden liquid is an incredible moisturizer and is a bit more “’user friendly” in its application process when compared to other natural liquid moisturizers. It is used as a hair and scalp treatment by many locals and has a completely natural fragrance. Cooking or seasoning with this oil is just another addition to one’s healthy ethos when it comes to adding to your pantry space.  We are proud to present our Macadamia oil, to the public – at the provided price, we believe we will be making quite the impact on the SA market.

MACADAMIA OIL IS VERY STABLE AND HAS LONG SHELF LIFE. The oil should be stored in a cool, dark place, and used within a year, although it can be kept in a refrigerator for more. Please note: when stored below room temperature, the oil will become cloudy and deposits could form – this is normal and will disappear when the oil warms up.
